The variety of tools available to support online marketing is astounding. They range from those offering very simple, very specific functionality to full-blown enterprise suites. I have been cataloging tools in an effort to gain a better understanding of what is available and I will be sharing some of them here. I am starting with those that can be used to gather competitive intelligence.
My goal is to provide a resource that offers value for a wide range of budgets – from individuals and start-ups who need freebies to medium-sized organizations that are ready for an ongoing service. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list. I am highlighting tools that serve a specific purpose and have offerings at multiple price points. Although some of these tools may integrate with enterprise level suites, I do not plan to focus on that at this time.
This is a work in progress and I appreciate suggestions. I experiment with the offerings before determining if they are a fit and that takes time, so please be patient.
